With 31 years of experience in the commercial retail real estate industry, and broker’s licenses in California and Nevada, Shari’s current focus is on retail tenant representation and landlord development. Shari’s time is committed to strategically assisting retail tenants with new site acquisition, relocations, renewals and the management of their real estate portfolios . Shari also uses this knowledge and transactional experience to assist Landlords and Developers market, develop and redevelop retail properties and shopping centers. Her professional perseverance and work ethic drive her to succeed on behalf of her clients.

After graduating from Santa Clara University with a degree in Economics, Shari worked several years as a commercial real estate broker in the Bay Area until, joining Java Centrale, in-house as the Vice President of Real Estate. Java Centrale had realized a successful IPO and tasked Shari with creating a nationwide, franchise driven, site selection program, which she did. For the next ten years Shari worked in-house with Java Centrale, Chief Auto Parts and Lucy’s Laundrymart, a Los Angeles based, laundrymat/convenience store concept completing over 100 real estate transactions for these companies throughout the US. Working in house she handled all aspects of real estate site selection, including but not limited to, identifying sites, ascertaining core customer profiles, evaluating demographics, assessing new trade areas, negotiating leases, running proformas, reconciling lease buyouts, negotiating write downs, managing brokerage teams and working with legal representation. Her understanding of the site selection process and the affiliated documentation is exceptional.

In March 2002, Shari joined Steve Edwards as a member of The Edwards Team. She has effectively worked with Steve for over 13 years completing transactions from the Central Valley to the Oregon Border and from the San Francisco Bay Area east through Reno. Her work experience on The Edwards Team includes working with clients such as Donahue Schriber, SyWest, McNellis Properties, Village Development, Taylor Development, Ross, Kohl’s, Lowes, Walmart, In & Out, Circle K and Amazing Lash Studio, Cream, Cricket Wireless, Carving Board.  Shari is a seasoned professional whose expertise has helped retailers with market rollouts (i.e. Walmart Neighborhood Market, Kohls) while helping increase profitability through successful real estate transactions.  As a Landlord representative Shari is currently working on a major thirty-acre redevelopment of the Howe ‘Bout Arden shopping center concentrating on merchandising plans, site plan layout and leasing for long term profitability.

She has been an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers since 1989, a member of CREW, ACRE, Sacramento Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors, WIRE (Women in Real Estate) and the National Association of Realtors.
